Come join other adoptive families with young children for an informal get together at Barker! Families are invited for playtime, networking with other families and refreshments, and Barker’s Post-Adoption staff will be available to address topics adoptive parents wish to discuss and explore. March 30, April 13, May 4 and 11, 2019 (Attendance required at all four sessions) PRIDE Training specific to the adoption of older children from the foster care system. The curriculum covers trauma, grief & loss, attachment & bonding, development, communication, behavioral and emotional challenges, transracial and transcultural adoption, financial assistance, as well as the legal process.
