Birth Parent Monthly Discussion Group (March 2026)
This Group is open to anyone who has placed a child for adoption or is considering making an adoption plan. The purpose of the group is to provide a place where birth parents can talk about their experiences, and share their feelings and thoughts with others who have made the same decision. Barker Adoption Foundation 7979 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda, MD, United StatesBARKER S.T.A.R.S. parent and kids workshops will help provide you and your child with the skills, language, and confidence on how your unique family can tackle uncomfortable/invasive questions and comments about adoption. It is also a great opportunity for adopted kids to meet others who are adopted. Adopted children in grades 2-5th grade to have the chance to talk and process their feelings about adoption in a safe, age-appropriate way.
