“People often ask what
sets Barker apart. It’s
this: we don’t disappear
after placement. We
stay in relationship,
offering support that
strengthens families and
helps healing take root
over a lifetime. That’s
the Barker difference,
and it’s at the heart of
everything we do.”

BARKER’S PROGRAMS
Cradle
Care
Counseling &
Lifelong Support
Barker’s Cradle Care program
provides temporary, nurturing
care for newborns, at no cost,
while expectant parents consider
an adoption plan. Licensed
Cradle Care families offer a safe
and loving environment, giving
parents the time and space to
make informed decisions with
confidence, compassion, and
support.
Cradle Care allows expectant
parents time to weigh their
decision without pressure and
move forward — whatever the
decision — with confidence and
peace.
Through adoption-competent
individual and family
counseling, discussion groups,
educational workshops, search
and reunion assistance,
homeland heritage tours, and
community programs, Barker
creates inclusive spaces for
adoptees, adoptive parents,
birth parents, and extended
family members to connect,
reflect, and heal.
Barker welcomes everyone
— regardless of whether their
adoption was facilitated by
Barker.
