At The Barker Adoption Foundation, a mission-
driven non-profit, we are committed to upholding 
the highest standards of financial stewardship, 
transparency, and accountability. We are intentional 
about ensuring every dollar entrusted to us  
supports and expands services for children, birth 
parents, adoptive families, and the broader  
adoption community.
In 2025, Barker received $804,158 from The Friends 
of Barker (FOB), along with strong support from 
individual donors and grants — a testament to the 
deep commitment of our community. Their  
tremendous generosity led to the successful 
completion of our $6.2 million comprehensive 
campaign: What If…Reimagining What’s Possible for 
Vulnerable Children.
We exceeded our campaign goal by $200,000 and, 
in the process, drove meaningful engagement, 
broadened our donor base, and laid a foundation  
for long-term sustainability. 
Support from individuals, families, foundations, and 
corporate partners in 2025 enabled us to grow our 
programs and strengthen our services. This has 
meant more resources for families adopting children 
with special needs, an expanded mental health 
counseling program, and new partnerships with 
agencies committed to older child adoption from 
foster care.
