THE BARKER ADOPTION FOUNDATION 2025 ANNUAL IMPACT REPORT
In 2025, as Barker reached the milestone  
of 80 years as a leader in ethical adoption, 
we continued to advance our work on  
the ground for adoptees, birth parents, and 
adoptive families. 
Children Placed  
Into Permanent, 
Loving Families
Of these, 24 were infant domestic 
placements, 8 were international 
placements from six countries, and 
22 were older children from the 
U.S. public foster care system (a 2x 
increase over last year).
New Home Studies 
Completed
Our thorough, compassionate 
process ensures children are 
matched with families prepared 
to offer stability, love, and safety 
from day one.
Support Group 
Participants
Through peer-led and 
clinician-guided support 
groups, we created spaces of 
belonging and community for 
adoptees, birth parents, and 
adoptive families.
